Header The Moisturizer - REVIEW: I'm From Rice Toner
Are you looking for an amazing toner? Your search is over. Rice extract is a classic ingredient in Asian skincare, I’ll show you why! In my review of the I’m From Rice Toner you can find out everything it can do to improve your skin’s appearance, how to use it and where to buy it!

Hello! During the time I have been here one of the questions I receive most refers to what toners I recommend for your daily routines. I have been using this Rice Toner by I’m From in my morning and night routines for a while now, so today I am finally going to talk a little bit about it.

BRAND: I’M FROM
PRODUCT: RICE TONER
SKIN TYPE: ALL
RECOMMENDED FOR: UNISEX

You can get the I’m From Rice Toner on Wishtrend and on Yesstyle.

I have already told to you on previous posts about I’m From. This Korean brand manufactures, among other products, some of my favorite masks, such as their Volcanic Mask (which I talked about in this post) and their Ginseng Mask (of which I already shared the review here).

In this case, the brand has developed a toner with about 78% of rice extract, an ingredient with increasing popularity in Korean skincare for its whitening properties and its ability to improve skin elasticity. As you know, in Asia there is a general tendency to use depigmenting products to try to get a lighter skin tone. In Europe there is no such tendency, but we can benefit from this type of products when it comes to reducing skin spots and, in general, to achieve a healthier appearance for our skin.

One of the first things that draws attention regarding this toner is that it has two distinct product densities (one more watery and one that’s closer to an emulsion). Because of this, every time we want to use it, we must remember to shake it well, so that the ingredients are properly mixed and give us the result we are looking for.

In general, the texture of the Rice Toner is very watery, it is easily absorbed and leaves the skin especially soft and smooth. When using it, at first you can see a light, whitish film, but in a few seconds it disappears and the product is perfectly absorbed. It has no prominent smell, which I appreciate, since you know that I do not really like very aromatic products.

As I mentioned before, among the main ingredients of this toner we find rice extract, in addition to niacinamide (which helps us improve skin tone and texture while balancing oil levels). This toner does not contain perfumes. The composition of the product is quite simple, very much in my philosophy of less is more.

For its part, the container has a very good size (150 ml), so it lasts a lot. Being of glass we can reuse it later and we have guaranteed its durability. Although the application of the product is comfortable to use, I prefer to use it from a spray container and thus achieve a better distribution, but it really is not necessary.

My final evaluation of the product is positive. I have not been able to notice any results in terms of depigmentation, but right now I don’t have any prominent spots on the skin. What I like most about the product are the sensations after using it and how soft my skin gets after its use. I really liked discovering it, so I recommend you buy it and try it.

HOW TO USE:

You already know that before using any toner you have to wash your face correctly to make sure you eliminate all the impurities that accumulate throughout the day. As I mentioned above, the first thing you should do before using the product is to shake it well so that all its ingredients are mixed. Then, take a few drops in the palm of your hand and massage them well across the face, making sure to cover the entire surface. Then you just have to finish your routine with a good serum, a moisturizer and, if it is in the morning, with your favorite sunscreen.

This graphic aims to help you understand in which part of your skincare routine you should use each product.
You don’t need to do all the steps from this routine (but you should always cleanse, moisturize and use sunscreen).
Remember it’s key to do a patch test every time you consider adding new products to your skincare routine.

      Hi Mira,

Even though there are no specific ingredients in this toner that are clearly not suitable during pregnancy, this is a complex topic, since there aren’t many studies on the use of cosmetics by pregnant women, as their risks are way greater than the potential benefits of conducting them. Even though I have a guide on skincare and pregnancy, I’d advise you to ask your doctor (dermatologist, gynecologist or general practitioner), they may provide you a clearer answer that helps you decide whether to use this toner or not.
