Cabecera The Moisturizer - REVIEW: Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil
Double cleansing has been an amazing discovery for me. Ever since I started double cleansing in my night skincare routines, my skin feels so much better. In this review of the Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil you can read about my experience, how to double cleanse, where to buy it and much more!

Hello! How are you? You already know that I like to take enough time test products before publishing a review (after all, it makes no sense to tell you my experience with a product that I have been using for a couple of days, I am not going to notice any changes). Well, today, after a while without telling you about my experience with a cleanser, I want to share with you my review of the Klairs Black Deep Cleansing Oil, a first cleanser that I’ve been really enjoying.

BRAND: KLAIRS
PRODUCT: GENTLE BLACK DEEP CLEANSING OIL
SKIN TYPE: ALL, RECOMMENDED FOR OILY SKIN
RECOMMENDED FOR: UNISEX

You can get the Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil on Wishtrend and on Yesstyle.

Those who follow me more closely will know that I have already talked about this cleanser on previous posts, as in this PM routine to reduce spots. Klairs is one of my favorite Korean skincare brands, their products are effective, affordable and in general the formulas are pretty clean (they usually do not include essential oils, perfumes or other unnecessary ingredients).

In this case, I’ll tell you about an oil-based cleanser that I have been using for many months and has become a must in my beauty routines. Cleansing oils (the same as milks and butters) are designed as the first phase of our routine. With them, what we get is to remove the remains of makeup and sunscreen, as well as the other oil-soluble particles that are deposited on the skin throughout the day. Why do you have to use them as the first cleanser? Because after using it, other particles that are soluble in water and that the first cleanser is not able to remove can remain on our skin, so by using another one you make sure to prepare your skin perfectly before starting to nourish it. I double cleanse on a daily basis, at night, always trying to use products that are not particularly aggressive to prevent my skin from dehydrating or breaking out.

Now that you have refreshed your ideas about everything that a cleansing oil can give you, let’s get into detail: what makes this product special? In this case, Klairs have formulated a cleanser out of three main oils: soybean (with soothing properties, it helps regulate oil levels), black sesame (which helps prevent dehydration and has antioxidant properties) and black currant (to help keep your skin barrier strong and healthy).

If your skin is oily or gets easily irritated, this oil is an excellent solution for you. Yes, you read that right, if you have oily skin you shouldn’t think that an oil-based cleanser will harm you. It is true that it seems a logical reasoning: if my skin has excess oil, how am I going to add more? The reality is that by cleansing the skin correctly (with mild products like this one) and keeping it nourished and hydrated, the tendency of the skin is to seek balance in its oil levels. In addition, by using products with ingredients that help you maintain oil at bay (in this case, black sesame oil is truly helpful) you will give your skin that Little extra that it may need.

One of the things that I like most about this oil is how easy it is to apply and remove it. Its texture is very liquid and it’s very pleasant to the touch. It has a characteristic smell that reminds me of their Supple Preparation Toner. You may think that an oil is difficult to remove from the skin, but in this case just by rinsing it with lukewarm water it comes out easily, which makes it very comfortable to continue with your beauty routine (especially on those exhausting days that the last thing you want is to double cleanse).

To point out a negative aspect about this cleansing oil, among its ingredients it incorporates perfume and I think it is totally unnecessary. You already know that it is something that I have been paying more attention to lately, after all it is an ingredient that does not bring any benefit to the skin (in fact it can be irritating to those with the most sensitive skin) and that under the perfume label many components of which we have no knowledge can be included.

Overall, I am very happy with this oil. It is a comfortable and effective product that gives me a great result. As I told you at the beginning of the review, I have been using it for several months and I am delighted with it. For me, if they had not included perfume among its ingredients it would be an A+ product.

HOW TO USE:

The first cleanser is always the first phase of my night beauty routine. In this case, with a single pump you have enough product. Massage your face gently, making sure to spread it all over its surface. Then rinse it with lukewarm water and continue with a water-based cleanser to make sure your skin is well cleaned. Then you have to continue with your beauty routine as you know: toner, serum and moisturizer.

This graphic aims to help you understand in which part of your skincare routine you should use each product.
You don’t need to do all the steps from this routine (but you should always cleanse, moisturize and use sunscreen).
Remember it’s key to do a patch test every time you consider adding new products to your skincare routine.
