Header The Moisturizer - REVIEW: Laneige Cream Skin Refiner
If you like Korean skincare, I’m sure you have heard of Laneige. If you haven’t, let me introduce you my favorite product from the brand. Is it a toner? Is it a moisturizer? Let’s just say if you aim for an amazingly moisturized skin, the Laneige Cream Skin Refiner is what your skin needs.

Hello Hello! How are you? Some time ago I talked to you on Instagram of one of my favorite products of 2019, the Laneige Cream Skin Refiner. It is a very particular product, do you want to know why? Well, take a look at this review and know it a little better.

BRAND: LANEIGE
PRODUCT: CREAM SKIN REFINER
SKIN TYPE: ALL
RECOMMENDED FOR: UNISEX

You can get the Laneige Cream Skin Refiner on Yesstyle and on Jolse.

This is the first time I talk to you about Laneige, although I have been using some of their products for quite some time (I will tell you about them in detail later). This South Korean brand is part of Amore Pacific, one of the largest cosmetic companies in Asia, which also owns brands that you may know, such as Hanyul, Innisfree or Sulwhasoo. Laneige was born in 1994 and since then it has had tremendous growth, first in the Asian market and for a few years globally. Its philosophy is simple: they develop products that improve hydration in order to strengthen the skin barrier and give us a healthier and brighter appearance. They currently have a lot of lines designed to help you improve various aspects of the skin, so they sure have a specific product that can help you.

This product, the Cream Skin Refiner, was launched in 2019 and it caught the attention of several bloggers for a very simple reason: it is a moisturizer with a liquid texture. It can be used as a toner, as a moisturizer and even as a mist. Sounds interesting, right? In addition, the brand ensures that the product provides deep and lasting hydration, perfect for our day and night routines, especially with its mild composition that makes the product work well for sensitive skin as well.

After researching the product and seeing how promising it is, I couldn’t wait and decided to try it to see if it really complies with everything it claims to do. You already know that choosing the right moisturizer can be a bit difficult, there are many different ones to choose from and sometimes it is hard to find a suitable one for our skin type and our needs, so I was hoping that this Cream Skin Refiner would give me everything I’m looking for.

I was lucky to be able to start using this moisturizer as soon as it arrived, and the first thing I noticed is that its texture is, in fact, completely liquid. When you take a few drops in the palm of your hand the sensations are identical to any other toner. However, when applied to the face, you realize that it is not just any toner. The texture becomes more dense and rich, like that of a moisturizer, and effectively gives the impression of moisturizing and nourishing the skin in depth.

Let’s talk about results. I have tested this product in my morning and night routines and it has worked perfectly on both. I have noticed results when I using it, since I felt my skin much more hydrated, so it is a perfect way to end your routine with a light product (this feels especially good in summer, when the heat does not make you feel like using dense products). The brand advises that those who have dry skin may apply two layers of product for a better result. As it is not my case, I have not been able to test that, but it can be a good way to get a more hydrated skin.

As I mentioned at the beginning of the post, this is, without a doubt, one of my favorite products of 2019. On the one hand, I am delighted with its texture, which makes it perfect for use at any time. In addition, the deep hydration that it gives us is great to keep the skin taken care of and protected. Without a doubt, I will buy it again.

HOW TO USE:

This product can be used as a toner or as a moisturizer. I prefer the latter, since its texture is too dense for me to apply it as a toner. At the end of your routines (day or night), you only have to take a few drops in the palm of your hand and spread it well across the face, massaging it to ensure that the product is well absorbed. Then, if it is your AM routine, finish with a good sunscreen. If it is your PM routine and you want to provide extra hydration to your skin, finish with a good oil.

This graphic aims to help you understand in which part of your skincare routine you should use each product.
You don’t need to do all the steps from this routine (but you should always cleanse, moisturize and use sunscreen).
Remember it’s key to do a patch test every time you consider adding new products to your skincare routine.
