It is likely that until recently you had not heard or read anything about Revolution Skincare. This is because this brand was born in the middle of 2017, so they are still beginning to expand all over the world. Revolution Skincare is part of the Revolution Beauty conglomerate, a British company with nearly 30 years of history that is characterized by offering good quality products at very affordable prices. Some may know them for their makeup brands, already well established in Spain and all over Europe: Makeup Revolution and Revolution Pro. Truth be told,  it makes sense that a company with the history of Revolution Beauty has decided to enter the skincare arena.

You already know that boosters are a fundamental part of our beauty routines to provide our skin with an extra dose of nutrients (which it would be unable to receive in any other way). If you want to read a little more about the subject you can do it in my post about the importance of your skincare routines. In this case, this Revolution Skincare serum is supposedly designed to give our skin a dose of collagen to help us reduce the signs of aging. In case you don’t know it, collagen is a protein responsible for keeping your skin firm

When we open the container we find a product with a very light and silky texture, almost watery. Its color is transparent and has no outstanding scent. When applied, it leaves a surprisingly cool sensation on the skin, even after absorbing (which happens quite quickly, really). I have been using this booster for over a month now and my skin has reacted brilliantly to it. I have not had any type of reaction and my skin is not greasy at all with its use.

Among the ingredients of this Stabilized Active Collagen by Revolution Skincare we find, of course, collagen. However, the topical application of collagen isn’t precisely effective, so I would substitute it with something else, like peptides or retinoids. This serum contains no fragrances.

The box that contains this product is made of black cardboard and with details in a pinkish tone. The container is made of translucent glass, with dropper-type applicator, which greatly facilitates the application of the product, since with just two drops there is more than enough amount. I think that this is one of the containers that I like most of all the products of this type that I have bought lately. The details in copper color give a touch of unique elegance that has me in love.

It was interesting to try this serum. I’m glad I could finally try some product of the brand, especially after having met several people who compared it with The Ordinary. However, I think that if I had to pick any of the two brands I’d stick with the DECIEM one, considering the way their products are developed.

HOW TO USE:
As with all other serums, we must apply them after having cleansed and toned the skin, before the moisturizer and, if it’s your morning routine, your sunscreen. As the texture of this serum is quite liquid you will not need to take more than two drops and spread them well through the face massaging it gently. Then you just have to let it absorb well and continue normally with your routine.

This graphic aims to help you understand in which part of your skincare routine you should use each product.
You don’t need to do all the steps from this routine (but you should always cleanse, moisturize and use sunscreen).
Remember it’s key to do a patch test every time you consider adding new products to your skincare routine.
