🇪🇸▼ The latest years have been tough. When we were all isolated at home I found myself at a moment in my life in which creating content was way easier. Time seemed to grow and writing several posts on a single day was surprisingly easy. However, over the latest months my mind is unable to work as effectively. The mental exhaustion that got accumulated turned me unable to think about writing a post or sharing a story. I’m steadily getting back my strength, energy and hope, I’m getting back on old ideas and rejecting the ones that got obsolete, but creating habits again is difficult. When 2022 started I decided to focus on several goals, some are already implemented and became part of my daily routines, others are merely abstract deas. I can finally say that I have new posts ready and I’m truly excited to share them and to keep on sharing skincare tips. Thank you so much for your patience and for waiting until I got some necessary mental space back to work on The Moisturizer. Off we go!
_ Los últimos años han sido duros. Cuando todos estábamos aislados en casa me encontraba en un momento de mi vida en que crear contenido me resultaba mucho más sencillo. El tiempo parecía multiplicarse y escribir varios artículos en un sólo día era extraordinariamente sencillo. Y sin embargo, desde hace unos meses mi mente es incapaz de rendir al mismo nivel. El agotamiento mental que se ha ido acumulando me llevó al punto de ser incapaz de pensar en escribir un post o compartir una story. Poco a poco vuelvo a tener fuerzas, energía e ilusión, voy retomando antiguas ideas y desechando las que se han quedado obsoletas, pero recuperar los hábitos es difícil. Cuando empezó 2022 me propuse varios objetivos, algunos los estoy implementando y forman parte de mi rutina, otros no son más que ideas abstractas. Por fin puedo afirmar con seguridad que tengo nuevos posts preparados y que estoy emocionado por publicarlos y por seguir compartiendo consejos para cuidar mejor de vuestra piel. Gracias por vuestra paciencia y por esperar a que volviese a tener el espacio mental necesario para retomar el trabajo en The Moisturizer. ¡Despegamos!

🇪🇸▼ Mists are a comfortable, easy and simple way to boost hydration while adding a little extra “something” to our skincare routines. They’re clearly not necessary for a skincare routine, but I find them truly enjoyable. Are they extra? Yes. Can they provide with better hydration and maybe some antioxidants? Yes. Actually, the only one I keep on using is the NIOD (@deciem) SDSM2, which contains superoxide dismutase, one of my favorite antioxidants and has become a real staple in my AM routines. _ Las brumas son una forma cómoda y sencilla de mejorar la hidratación a la vez que añadimos algo especial a nuestras rutinas de belleza. No son necesarias en una rutina de belleza, pero yo las disfruto mucho. ¿Son un extra? Sí. ¿Te aportan una mejor hidratación y quizás antioxidantes? Sí. 🇪🇸▼ How about we talk about two iconic first cleansers? Today I want to share my thoughts about these two products, a couple that many of you love: The Ordinary (@deciem) Squalane Cleanser and @theinkeylist Oat Cleansing Balm. As usual, you can read a more comprehensive comparison of both on my blog (link in bio). I tried first the cleanser from The Ordinary and it became a true staple of my PM routines for such a long time. It leaves a great finish on the skin, it cleanses makeup and sunscreen quite well and it’s an overall effective product I really enjoy for daily use. In my opinion, the one from The Inkey List works a bit better at removing makeup, but I noticed a greasier finish on my skin, so I prefer using it to cleanse said makeup or especially thick sunscreens. ¿Qué tal si hablamos de dos primeros limpiadores que se han convertido en clásicos? Hoy quiero hablaros acerca de dos productos que a muchos os encantan: el Squalane Cleanser de The Ordinary y el Oat Cleansing Balm de The Inkey List. Como siempre, puedes leer una comparativa más detallada en mi blog (link en mi perfil). El primero que probé fue el limpiador de The Ordinary y se convirtió en un básico de mis rutinas de noche durante bastante tiempo. Deja un buen acabado sobre la piel, retira el maquillaje y el protector solar adecuadamente y en general es un producto eficaz que me gusta para utilizar a diario. Para mí, el limpiador de The Inkey List funciona algo mejor al retirar el maquillaje, pero también he podido observar un acabado algo más graso, así que prefiero utilizarlo para desmaquillar o retirar protectores solares especialmente densos. ¿Has probado alguno de ellos? ¿Cuál te gusta más? ¡Dímelo en comentarios! PR | It’s no secret that I love a good antioxidant, they’re a key part of all my AM routines, since they complement the activity of sunscreen by preventing the damage from free radicals. Ultraviolet radiation is our skin’s greatest enemy, so I find all protection from it positive. This SDSM2 mist by NIOD (@deciem) has been part of my morning routines for quite some time now, and every single day I’m thrilled to use it.
