Today I’m sharing with you a new comparison of sunscreens! Since I have had the opportunity to try new products since I published my previous comparison of sunscreens, I am going to tell you about other sunscreens that I have not mentioned before so that you know what they are like and which one is better depending on what you’re looking for.

You know that sunscreen is a fundamental part of your basic skincare routine, so you should find one that suits your skincare needs and that feels comfortable enough for daily application and reapplication. I hope that this comparison helps you find the right one for you!

These are the sunscreens you will find in this comparison:

IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR A SPF30 SUNSCREEN: SKIN REGIMEN URBAN SHIELD SPF 30.

You may remember Skin Regimen from my comparison of vitamin C serums. In this case, they have developed a sunscreen with SPF 30 and physical filters. In addition to this, they have incorporated different types of antioxidants, which you already know that help to enhance the anti-aging activity of sunscreen.

The texture is creamy, it is easy to apply but, because it includes physical filters, it often leaves a certain whitish residue or even makes a pilling effect. Although the application is nice, these factors make me consider not trying it again.

INGREDIENTS:
Aqua / Water / Eau *, Neopentyl Glycol Diheptanoate, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnate, Homosalate, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate *, Bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Isopentyldiol, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tapioca Starch / Triticum Vulgare (wheat) Starch *, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Cetyl Alcohol, Propanediol *, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Benzyl Alcohol, Pentylene Glycol, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-11, spinach Oleracea Leaf Extract / spinach Olerque Aristotelia Chilensis Fruit Extract *, Ethylhexylglycerin, Taraxacum Officine Rhizome / Root Extract / Taraxacum Officinale (dandelion) Rhizome / Root Extract. IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR A SUNSCREEN FOR REAPPLICATION: LA ROCHE-POSAY ANTHELIOS INVISIBLE ANTI-SHINE MIST SPF 50.

You know that I usually put a lot of emphasis on the importance of reapplying sunscreen. Although there is no clear consensus on the exact time that must pass before reapplication (there are studies that speak of 15 minutes and others of up to 2 hours, which is the maximum time that I advise to let pass before doing so), it is essential to reapply sunscreen whenever we exercise, bathe, dry, etc. By reapplying sunscreen we manage to keep our skin safe from ultraviolet radiation, so this simple gesture is essential for your health.

Often, if you wear makeup or if you can’t wash your hands, reapplying sunscreen can be especially difficult, so products like this come in really handy, allowing reapplication in a simple and hygienic way.

One thing I really like about this sunscreen is that it leaves a silky texture on my skin. It does not leave any kind of residue, so you will hardly notice that it is there. Perhaps, the main drawback that I find with this type of sunscreen is that it is difficult to know if you are using the right amount of product, that’s why I use them for reapplication and I love the result that it provides.

INGREDIENTS:
Butane, Aqua / Water, Homosalate, Octocrylene, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Nylon-12, Diisopropyl Sebacate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, P-Anisic Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Carnosine, Cyclohexasiloxane, Disodium Edta, Drometrizole Trisiloxane, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Mel / Honey, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Peg-32, Peg-8 Laurate, Pentylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Poly C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate, Polyglyceryl-6 Polyricinoleate, Propylene Glycol, Silica Silylate, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Saccharin, Tocopherol, Parfum / Fragrance.

You can find the La Roche-Posay Anthelios Invisible Anti-Shine Mist SPF 50 on FeelUnique.

IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR A SUNSCREEN THAT SERVES AS FOUNDATION: LA ROCHE-POSAY ANTHELIOS MINERAL ONE SPF 50+.

I had read great opinions about this sunscreen and really wanted to try it, so when I received it from La Roche-Posay I thought the opportunity could not have come at a better time. The brand affirm it is a combination of moisturizer, sunscreen and foundation, although I would emphasize that last point, since if you aren’t used to wearing makeup this may be a bit overwhelming for you.

Normally, when we think about mineral sunscreens we assume that they will leave our skin very whitish and with an unnatural tone, but at La Roche-Posay they have found a positive solution by creating this sunscreen and foundation combo.

This sunscreen, which we can find tinted in different shades, has a very comfortable and silky texture. It spreads very easily and the tone is distributed effortlessly. Although for me it is slightly excessive (since I do not wear makeup and I find it strange to use foundation), I think that if you are looking for a sunscreen that defends you against ultraviolet radiation while giving you a uniform tone, this is an unbeatable solution.

INGREDIENTS:
Aqua /Water, Titanium Dioxide [Nano], Titanium Dioxide, Diisopropyl Sebacate, Glycerin, Alcohol Denat., Isopropyl Palmitate, Caprylic / Capric Triglyceride, Propanediol, Ethylhexyl Methoxycrylene, Diethylhexyl Syringylidenemalonate, Polyglyceryl-6 Polyricinoleate, Isocetyl Stearate, Titanium Dioxide, Aluminum Hydroxide, Stearic Acid, Tocopherol, Alumina, Aluminum Stearate, Caprylyl Glycol, Citric Acid, Lecithin, Lysine, Magnesium Chloride, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Pullulan, Sclerotium Gum, Silica, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodiumlauroyl Glutamate, Stearalkoniumhectorite, Xanthan Gum, Parfum / Fragrance, [+/- May Contain Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499 / Iron oxides, Ci 77891 /Titanium Dioxide].

You can find the La Roche-Posay Anthelios Mineral One SPF 50+ on Amazon.

IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR A BASIC SUNSCREEN: AVÈNE FLUID SPF 50+.

This fluid sunscreen is intended, in principle, to be used preferably on combination or oily skin. Despite being a fluid, its texture is somewhat denser than we can find in other fluid sunscreens.

It is applied in a very comfortable way, but it is important to massage it properly to avoid leaving a white cast, since although it is a sunscreen that also incorporates chemical filters if it is not spread properly, it is easy to leave that residue.

I really like the texture of this product, I think it is excellent as a base sunscreen, although it may not be the ideal option for reapplication, since the possibility of the whitish residue that I have mentioned may be uncomfortable.

INGREDIENTS:
Avene Thermal Spring Water (Avene Aqua). C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate. Methylene Bis-Benzotriazolyl Tetramethylbutylphenol [Nano]. Water (Aqua). Diisopropyl Adipate. Isodecyl Neopentanoate. Silica. Dicaprylyl Carbonate. Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine. Diethylhexyl Butamido Triazone. Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate.  Butyl  Ethoxydibenzoylmethane. Potassium Cetyl Phosphate. Decyl Glucoside. 1,2-Hexanediol. C10-18 Triglycerides. Vp/Eicosene Copolymer. Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer. Benzoic Acid. Butylene Glycol. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride. Disodium Edta. Fragrance (Parfum). Glyceryl Behenate. Glyceryl Dibehenate. Glyceryl Stearate. Oxothiazolidine. Peg-100 Stearate. Propylene Glycol. Sodium Benzoate. Tocopherol. Tocopheryl Glucoside. Tribehenin. Xanthan Gum.

You can find the Avène Fluid SPF 50+ on Amazon and on Beauty Bay.

IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR A SUNSCREEN FOR DRY SKIN: AVÈNE CREAM SPF 50+.

This sunscreen, at first glance, may seem to have been developed with physical filters, and that is because despite being a sunscreen with chemical filters, it must be applied with energy to ensure that it is absorbed well and does not leave any type of white cast.

Something that I especially appreciate about Avène is the possibility of purchasing many of its products in versions with or without perfumes (about which you can read more here), so having the the opportunity to try this version has been great.

This sunscreen is recommended for dry skin. It has a very comfortable texture, it is a slightly dense cream and, as I mentioned before, it is important to apply and massage it properly to avoid the white cast and to leave a good layer on the skin. In any case, if you use makeup, I think it can be an excellent addition to your beauty routines to ensure you protect your skin properly.

INGREDIENTS:
Avene Thermal Spring Water (Avene Aqua). C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate. Coco-Caprylate/Caprate. Methylene Bis-Benzotriazolyl Tetramethylbutylphenol [Nano]. Water (Aqua). Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride. Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine. Diethylhexyl Butamido Triazone. Glycerin. Silica. Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane. Potassium Cetyl Phosphate. Decyl Glucoside. 1,2-Hexanediol. Vp/Eicosene Copolymer. Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer. Benzoic Acid. Butylene Glycol. Carbomer. Disodium Edta. Glyceryl Behenate. Glyceryl Dibehenate. Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil (Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil). Oxothiazolidine. Propylene Glycol. Sodium Benzoate. Sodium Hydroxide. Tocopherol. Tocopheryl Glucoside. Tribehenin. Xanthan Gum.

IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR A CC CREAM: SUNPLAY SUN AQUA CLEAR WHITE CC MILK SPF 50+ PA++++.

If before I told you about another sunscreen from La Roche-Posay that also serves as a foundation, and this one serves that purpose as well. However, perhaps this one does not provide a coverage as effective as the other, but pigments in a softer way.

The texture of this sunscreen, which I bought while traveling in Asia, is very light and comfortable, so it leaves a very pleasant feeling. In addition, among its ingredients we can find niacinamide, which helps reduce redness and keep under control our oil levels, and derivatives of vitamins C and E, which provide us with some extra antioxidants.

INGREDIENTS:
Cyclopentasiloxane, Water, Zinc Oxide, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Titanium Dioxide, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, PEG-9 Polydimethylsilocyethyl Dimethicone, Dimethicone, Hydrated Silica, Glycerin, Isononyl Isononanoate, Niacinamide, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Phenyl Trimethicone, Triethylhexyl Trimellitate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Arginine, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Disodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Aluminum Hydroxyde, Hydrogen Dimethicone, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Acrylates / Dimethicone Copolymer, Stearic Acid, Disodium EDTA, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499.

You can find the Sunplay Sun Aqua Clear White CC Milk SPF 50+ PA++++ on Yesstyle.

IF YOU DON’T MIND FRAGRANCE IN YOUR SUNSCREEN: BIORÉ UV AQUA RICH WATERY ESSENCE SPF 50+ PA++++.

This sunscreen is very well-known among lovers of Korean skincare, it has a very good reputation, but does it deserve it?

It has a wonderful texture, very fresh and lightweight, something that is very comfortable. By incorporating organic filters it does not leave any type of white cast, it is absorbed great and is not heavy at all.

However, there is one aspect that I don’t particularly like (although you may not care that much): it has a very powerful fragrance. Among its ingredients we can see that it incorporates different types of citrus extracts (which are potentially irritating) and fragrance, but the smell that stands out the most is that of alcohol, which is nothing more and nothing less than the second ingredient on the list. Although its texture is one of the ones I like the most, I recognize that this factor weighs heavily on me, so I don’t think I will buy it again, especially considering that I experienced some irritation on the neck area after using it.

INGREDIENTS:
Water, Ethanol, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Lauryl Methacrylate/Sodium Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Alkyl Benzoate, Bisethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Dimethicone, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Dipropylene Glycol, Xylitol, Dextrin Palmitate, Acrylates/ C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Polysilicone-9, Glyceryl Stearate, Aminomethyl Propanol, Vinyl Dimethicone/ Methicone Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer, Agar, Isoceteth-20, C30-45 Alkyl Methicone, Polyvinyl Alcohol, C30-45 Olefin, Sodium Hydroxide, Butylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Royal Jelly Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Fruit Extract, Citrus Grandis Fruit Extract, Lemon Fruit Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Edta-2Na, Bht, Fragrance.

You can find the Bioré UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF 50+ PA ++++ on Yesstyle.
