The Moisturizer - REVIEW: Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner
A hydrated skin is a healthy skin. And how can you improve your skin’s hydration? Through humectant ingredients that help it get enough water. On today’s review I’ll share my experience using the Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner, a lovely Korean discovery that has become an instant favorite. Let me tell you everything about it!

Hello! How is it going? In my previous post I spoke briefly about this toner, but today I want to talk about it in depth. It is easy to think that a toner is an irrelevant product, an expendable part of our routines, but it is not. In this case, I’ll speak about a toner that is soft but very effective, a great solution for all skin types. Do you want to know it a little better? Here we go!

Today I bring you a new post on Korean cosmetics, which I’m all about lately. A few weeks ago I shared with you my guide on where to buy Korean cosmetics and my review of the I’m From Volcanic Mask, which is quite a discovery. If there is one thing I like about Korean cosmetics it is that, generally speaking, their products are very well formulated, aiming for efficiency while giving priority to natural ingredients.

Today I am writing about a toner from the Korean brand Pyunkang Yul, created by the Pyunkang Oriental Medicine Clinic, with more than 40 years of experience, known for its treatments for atopic skin. Its products, of natural origin and cruelty-free, focus on improving the hydration of the skin in order to provide the nutrition we need and so our routines are more effective. One of the main cornerstones of Pyunkang Yul is to create products that contain only the necessary ingredients, avoiding dyes, perfumes and other unnecessary elements that may be irritating.

As you might remember from my post about the importance of your beauty routine, the toner is a fundamental part of them. A good toner not only helps you to rebalance the pH of the skin after cleansing, but it also removes any remains of that cleanser and, in addition, being the first product of your routine that remains on your skin, is essential to start nourishing it.

The Moisturizer - REVIEW: Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner

This toner has a very rich texture, more dense than what I am used to on this sort of products. It has no prominent smell, and when applying it on the skin the feeling is very light and silky, making it really easy to extend it. The result is practically immediate, from the first moment it leaves my skin hydrated and nourished, which makes it a perfect tonic for your morning routines.

Among the ingredients of this toner we find mainly Coptis Japonica Root Extract, with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and olive oil, rich in antioxidants and with moisturizing properties. This toner contains no perfumes.

I have to admit that this toner is quite a discovery. I have been using it in my morning routines for a while and I’m delighted. With it, my skin is very soft and moisturized, so it’s perfect. I’m very happy with this toner, I’m sure I will buy it again when I finish it, I recommend it completely.

HOW TO USE:

You know that the toner must be used immediately after cleansing to rebalance the pH of the skin and prepare it to nourish in depth with the rest of our beauty routine. I like to transfer the toner to a container with a spray applicator to extend it better and avoid wasting product. Then, you will have to extend the whole product with your fingertips and continue with your beauty routine.

This graphic aims to help you understand in which part of your skincare routine you should use each product.
You don’t need to do all the steps from this routine (but you should always cleanse, moisturize and use sunscreen).
Remember it’s key to do a patch test every time you consider adding new products to your skincare routine.
