With this comparison you will know these Paula’s Choice moisturizers to discover which one is better for your morning skin, the one to use on your night routine and the best one for you.

Hello! You already know that Paula’s Choice has become one of my staple brands for a while. Since I have had the opportunity to try several products of the brand (among them, different moisturizers), today I want to tell you about my experience using three of them so that you know what each one can provide you and which one is right for you.

I know that finding a moisturizer isn’t always easy, there are many available products and it may be complicated to find what your skin truly needs and the textures you really like. However, I believe that once you’ve read this comparison you’ll know which of these moisturizers best suits your likes and needs to start taking proper care of your skin.

Specifically, the products that you will find in this comparison are the following:

This graphic aims to help you understand in which part of your skincare routine you should use each product.
You don’t need to do all the steps from this routine (but you should always cleanse, moisturize and use sunscreen).
Remember it’s key to do a patch test every time you consider adding new products to your skincare routine.

1. PAULA’S CHOICE OMEGA+ COMPLEX MOISTURIZER.

I have already shared my complete review of this moisturizer. The first thing that I like about this product is its great effectiveness, given that it is a cream that deeply hydrates our skin thanks to the presence of ceramides and fatty acids, which you will also appreciate if you have sensitive skin. In addition to this, it also incorporates different types of antioxidants to help us prevent the damage that ultraviolet radiation causes to our skin.

It is important to mention that this product has a magnificent texture. Paula’s Choice refer to it as cloud texture, since when you take it in your hands it looks like a very dense and thick cream but, once applied to the face, it is absorbed softly and comfortably, leaving us with a sensation of great hydration.

It certainly is a highly effective product, so if your skin needs some proper moisturizing, you’ll definitely love it.

IT’S FOR YOU IF: your skin needs extra hydration and you are looking for a simple, nourishing moisturizer that you can use interchangeably in your morning and night routines.

2. PAULA’S CHOICE RESIST BARRIER REPAIR MOISTURIZER WITH RETINOL.

In this case, Paula’s Choice have created a moisturizer with the clear intention of helping us improve wrinkles and fine lines due to the presence of retinol at a concentration of 0.01%. If you still don’t know what retinoids are or how they can help you, I advise you to read this guide. Why is it important to mention this? Because, in addition to providing us with those anti-aging properties, the presence of retinol makes it advisable to use this moisturizer in your night routines (although the brand states that, as long as you use sunscreen correctly, you can also use it in the morning).

In addition to retinol, this moisturizing cream incorporates other very interesting ingredients, such as ceramides (which help us maintain the balance of the skin barrier), licorice extract (with soothing properties) and soybean extract (with important antioxidant properties).

The texture of this product slightly reminds me of that of the previous moisturizer, although when applied to the face it does not leave that great feeling of deep hydration and transformation from a dense cream to a light lotion.

IT’S FOR YOU IF: you start to worry about wrinkles and you are looking for a night cream that not only hydrates your skin, but also deeply nourishes it with specific ingredients to treat those fine lines.

INGREDIENTS:
Water (Aqua), Dicaprylyl Carbonate (emollient), Glycerin (hydration/skin replenishing), Ethylhexyl Stearate (texture-enhancing), Cocoglycerides (emollient), Butyrospermum Parkii Butter (shea butter/antioxidant/emollient), Squalane (emollient), Sodium Polyacrylate (texture-enhancing), Lecithin (skin-restoring), Adenosine (skin-restoring), Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 (skin-restoring), Ceramide NP (hydration/skin replenishing), Retinol (skin-restoring), Punica Granatum Extract (pomegranate extract/antioxidant), Camellia Oleifera Leaf Extract (green tea extract/antioxidant), Glycyrrhiza Glabra Root Extract (licorice extract/skin-soothing), Tetrahydrodiferuloylmethane (antioxidant), Tetrahydrodemethoxydiferuloylmethane (antioxidant), Tetrahydrobisdemethoxydiferuloylmethane (antioxidant), Tocopheryl Acetate (antioxidant), Chamomilla Recutita Matricaria Flower Extract (skin-soothing), Glycine Soja Seed Extract (soybean extract/antioxidant), Glycine Soja Oil (soybean oil/emollient/antioxidant), Butylene Glycol (hydration), Propylene Glycol (hydration), Glyceryl Polymethacrylate (texture-enhancing), Xanthan Gum (texture-enhancing), Phenoxyethanol (preservative).

3. PAULA’S CHOICE CLINICAL CERAMIDE-ENRICHED FIRMING MOISTURIZER.

This is the last moisturizing cream that I am going to talk about in this comparison, and it is perhaps the one that comes with the most active ingredients. In this case, among the ingredients of the cream we can find derivatives of vitamin C (about which you can read more in this guide and which gives us important antioxidant properties), ceramides (perfect if you have sensitive skin and when it comes to helping us to take care of the skin barrier), retinol (about which you can read more in this guide and that helps us treat wrinkles and fine lines) and different antioxidants, such as vitamin E. As you can see, in terms of composition, it is a very attractive product that helps us to improve different signs of photoaging.

The texture of the product is very rich. It is creamy and absorbs wonderfully, nourishing our skin very effectively. It has a yellowish color and and scent reminiscent of the one that characterizes honey masks.

This cream, which you must use in your night routines (due to the presence of retinol), provides very deep and effective hydration, something perfectly visible in the morning, several hours after applying the product. Without a doubt, it is a magnificent product.

IT’S FOR YOU IF: you already have some wrinkles or fine lines and you want to treat them with your moisturizer. If you have dry skin or want to prevent aging, this product can be great for you.

INGREDIENTS:
Water (Aqua), Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (vitamin C/antioxidant), Cetyl Alcohol (texture enhancer, Ascorbyl Glucoside (vitamin C/antioxidant), Neopentyl Glycol Diheptanoate (texture enhancer), Potassium Cetyl Phosphate (emulsifier), Glyceryl Stearate (emollient), PEG-100 Stearate (texture enhancer), Glycerin (skin-replenishing), PEG-12 Glyceryl Dimyristate (hydration), Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2 (emollient), Dimethicone (emollient), Glyceryl Ascorbate, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (vitamin C/antioxidants), Retinol (vitamin A/skin-restoring), Ceramide NP, Ceramide NS, Ceramide AP, Ceramide EOP, Ceramide EOS, Cholesterol, Caprooyl Phytosphingosine, Caprooyl Sphingosine (skin-replenishing), Squalane (emollient), Punica Granatum Fruit Extract (pomegranate/antioxidant), Pongamia Glabra Seed Oil (non-fragrant plant oil/antioxidant), Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract (skin-soothing), Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract (antioxidant), Tocopheryl Acetate (vitamin E/antioxidant), Carnosine (skin-restoring), Panthenol (hydration), Sodium PCA (skin-replenishing), Butylene Glycol (hydration), Sodium Citrate (pH adjuster), Ceteareth-25 (texture enhancer), Polysorbate 20 (emulsifier), Ethylhexyl Stearate (emollient), Sodium Hydroxide (pH adjuster), Trideceth-6 (emulsifier), Propyl Gallate (antioxidant),Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Sodium Polyacrylate (film-forming agents), Behenic Acid (texture enhancer), Disodium EDTA (chelating agent), Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Chlorphenesin (preservatives).
