Do you want an antioxidant serum? Ginseng is a classic ingredient on Asian skincare, so the I’m From Ginseng Serum can be the addition your skincare routine needs. If you want to find out if it’s what your skin needs, how to use it and where to buy it, take a look at this review!
Helloooo! How’s your week going? I have been using this I’m From serum for a couple of months now and finally I will tell you my experience with it. Some time ago I told you about the Ginseng Mask, from the same brand, so today it is the turn of the serum. Do you want to know if it fits what your skin needs? Let’s see it!
BRAND: I’M FROM
PRODUCT: GINSENG SERUM
SKIN TYPE: ALL
RECOMMENDED FOR: UNISEX
You can get the I’m From Ginseng Serum on Wishtrend and on Yesstyle.
As I said, this serum is from the same line as the I’m From Ginseng Mask. They are both designed to give you a good dose of antioxidants, removing impurities from inside the pores and introducing those antioxidants to combat the effect of free radicals (which are one of the most important causes for aging, causing wrinkles and fine lines to appear).
I have been using this serum in my PM routines, since in the morning I prefer to use other products and the texture of this one is more comfortable to finish the day. It is a thick serum, with a scent very similar to that of the Ginseng Mask (in fact it contains perfume, something that I do not like too much, since it really does not need it) and a slightly dense texture (although much lighter than the mask) but when applied on the face it is very comfortable, since it is very easily absorbed. After using it, my skin feels soft and gives me a calming effect that I love.
Among its ingredients we find red ginseng extract, which is great if what you are looking for is to improve firmness and elasticity, since as years pass it is increasingly difficult for the skin to face free radicals, which are damaging it. By providing antioxidants, we give it a little help to stop those free radicals and stay young. On the other hand, Panax Ginseng oil helps us keep the skin well hydrated, balancing the skin’s barrier so that it stays healthy. In addition, among the ingredients we also find licorice extract, with soothing properties, and a small proportion of hyaluronic acid to help us improve hydration.
Those who follow me more closely will know that I have been trying different antioxidant products for a long time to help my skin stay young, firm and elastic. In this case, my expectations were high, perhaps too much, and it has not been as incredible as I expected. It is a good product, I liked using it, it is soothing and my skin is well hydrated when used, but it does not excite me. At the moment I will not buy it again, I do not know if I will give it another chance later, but in the meantime I prefer to try new things. It’s interesting, because I love the Ginseng Mask, it is a favorite of mine, but I don’t like this serum so much.
HOW TO USE:
After washing your face and using a good toner, take three or four drops in the palm of your hand and spread them well all over your face, massaging it firmly so that the actives penetrate the skin well. Then, finish your routine with a good moisturizer and, if you use it during the day, with a proper sunscreen.
This graphic aims to help you understand in which part of your skincare routine you should use each product.
You don’t need to do all the steps from this routine (but you should always cleanse, moisturize and use sunscreen).
Remember it’s key to do a patch test every time you consider adding new products to your skincare routine.
