Hi there! It’s been a while since I last posted a review of a moisturizer, so today I will compensate by sharing an amazing one, one of the best products I’ve been using lately. This Klairs Supple Preparation All-Over Lotion is an awesome discovery: it’s soft, light, deeply moisturizing, it’s the whole package! Do you want to know it a bit better? Let’s go!
PRODUCT: SUPPLE PREPARATION ALL-OVER LOTION
SKIN TYPE: ALL, RECOMMENDED FOR SENSITIVE SKIN
RECOMMENDED FOR: UNISEX
Some may recall Klairs from previous posts like my Night routine to reduce spots and my Night routine for oily skin. The brand was created in 2010 with a very specific purpose: to create high quality, ecological (not tested on animals), cheap and simple (no perfumes, no parabens and no artificial perfumes) cosmetics. I really like when brands aim to create their products respecting good values and with a proper philosophy, so Klairs is to me a great one.
We may think that finding a good moisturizer is easy, but it’s definitely not. To me, the perfect moisturizer should be light, effective, very hydrating and inexpensive. After all, by using a moisturizer we aim to keep our hydrolipidic barrier (which I told you about previously) balanced, so our skin can properly absorb all nutrients and is well protected. Sounds easy, but it’s not.
I already had very good references of Klairs before trying this cream, so I really wanted to use this moisturizer. Those of you who follow me since long ago will remember that I bought it on Wishtrend and that it came with many gifts, so I recommend you take a look at the page (I’m sure you’ll find other treasures like this COSRX Low pH cleanser Good Morning Gel Cleanser).
When opening the container of this moisturizer we find a very light product that is so easily applied. It is a soft cream and leaves a very silky feeling on the skin. I’m terrible at identifying scents, but this moisturizer has an amazing one, I love it! This product was developed as an all-over moisturizer, meaning it can be used an all your body (which is why it contains 250 ml of product, way more than usual moisturizers), although I like it so much I just use it on my face, since it leaves an amazing sensation.
Among the ingredients of this Supple Preparation All-over Lotion by Klairs, there are several ones that help to retain the skin’s hydration, such as shea butter, jojoba oil and aloe vera extract. Ceramides help keep our skin well hydrated and elastic. It also contains beta-glucan, which helps retain water quite better than hyaluronic acid. This moisturizer does not contain perfumes.
The packaging of this moisturizer is very simple, as you can see in the photo. it is quite large compared to other brands, but it is very easy to get the right amount of product, as the applicator is very comfortable.
This moisturizer has surprised me. I had read good opinions, but I could not imagine that it would be so, so, so good. Its value for money is very difficult to match, so I recommend you try it if you are looking for a comfortable and effective product.
HOW TO USE:
This is a very light moisturizer, so you just need a really tiny amount to deeply hydrate your skin. Take that little amount in your hand and heat it up a bit with your other hand to improve the way it’s applied. Use it after cleansing and toning, right after your serum.
This graphic aims to help you understand in which part of your skincare routine you should use each product.
You don’t need to do all the steps from this routine (but you should always cleanse, moisturize and use sunscreen).
Remember it’s key to do a patch test every time you consider adding new products to your skincare routine.
