Masks are, perhaps, one of the most pleasant experiences we can give ourselves when we talk about cosmetics. Although they are not essential, they are an easy way to add a little extra to your skin while you relax and dedicate time to yourself. There are those who use some sort of mask almost daily, although I prefer to do it once or twice a week (depending on the time I have).

As you have read on other occasions, I’m From develops my favorite Korean masks. In my blog you have been able to read reviews of several of their products, such as their Honey Mask (very relaxing and soothing), their Ginseng Mask (loaded with antioxidants) and their Volcanic Mask (a clay mask for oily skin).

In this case, it is a very refreshing mask that, in principle, also provides a soothing result. Among its ingredients we can find various plant extracts (centella asiatica, licorice or tea) with soothing properties and others loaded with antioxidants (such as Polygonum Cuspidatum or Fallopia Japonica, a source of resveratrol). This mask does not contain perfumes among its ingredients.

Something that strikes me about this product is that the brand recommends that, if you have particularly sensitive skin, you mix a small amount of the mask with your cleanser. At the moment I have not tried it, although it seems like an interesting idea and that I will surely try sooner or later.

And how is its texture? When you open the container, you find a slightly gelatinous mask, of a brown tone and with small shavings of a lighter color (mugwort extract) distributed throughout the product. It has an earthy scent that I personally find pleasant, which makes the experience of using it very comfortable.

So far, based on what we’ve seen, a soothing and refreshing mask seems like a great addition to your beauty routines, right? But maybe now you ask yourself if it really brings that result. When extended on the face, a sensation of freshness can be noticed, remaining during the first moments and gradually dissipating. It spreads very easily, although a greater amount of product is needed in comparison to the other masks of the brand to ensure that the face is well covered. As for the soothing properties that the brand claims it provides, I have not observed them directly at the moment, since (luckily) my skin has not been particularly irritated lately. One result that I have been able to appreciate (and that I did not expect) is that by using this mask it significantly improves the appearance of my pores, leaving them cleaner and less visible.

And now comes the moment of truth: would I buy this product again? Although in general all the masks of the brand have a very positive value for money, this is not my favorite of all the ones I have used. Since I currently have quite a few masks at home waiting to be finished, I am not going to buy it again for the moment and, perhaps in a while, I will consider repurchasing it.

HOW TO USE:

You should apply this mask immediately after facial cleansing, spreading it gently to make sure it covers the entire face. Remove it after about 10 minutes with plenty of lukewarm water. Then continue with the rest of your skincare routine: toner, serum and moisturizer (and if it is your morning routine, finish with sunscreen).

To me, the best way to apply this type of face masks is with a spatula like this one, since that way you’ll avoid directly touching the product with your hands and thus you’ll reduce the risk of contaminating it. Also, you’ll notice how this way it’s way easier to evenly distribute the product all over your skin.
