You’ll probably remember I’m From from other posts, like my review of their Rice Toner or their Ginseng Serum. Also, since I already know other masks of the brand (here you can read my review of their Volcanic Mask and here the one of their Ginseng Mask) I wanted to continue telling you about their products so that you can get a proper knowledge of what they can provide you.
I have been using this Honey Mask for a few months now, so I thought it was time to give you my opinion about it. In this case, the brand has developed a mask with important soothing and nourishing properties, designed to help us protect the skin barrier (about which you can read more in this other article) and recover when it is irritated or damaged.
What attracted me most about this mask in the first place were precisely those soothing properties. Sometimes, after using an especially powerful product, an exfoliant or, simply, when under certain circumstances my skin is sensitive, I am very grateful to be able to use a product that reduces irritation and minimizes redness. This mask is designed to help us accelerate this process, restoring the skin barrier and thus allowing us to return to normal as soon as possible.
Among the ingredients of this Honey Mask from I’m From we find honey (of which 38.7% is included to provide us with soothing properties), macadamia, sunflower and shea oils (deeply nourishing and moisturizing, to protect the skin barrier), propolis (with important soothing and antioxidant properties) and beta glucan (which also gives us a good dose of antioxidants). This mask does not contain perfumes or essential oils.
The texture of this mask is fantastic, something that greatly improves the experience when using it. It is a fairly dense product in which honey has a certain tendency to separate from the rest of the ingredients, but after stirring it for a few seconds with a spatula it integrates again perfectly. When applied on the skin, the sensation is warm and pleasant. It spreads very easily and leaves a slightly shiny film. Despite being, as I said, a fairly dense product, the sensation on the skin is light, it is not overwhelming at all. As for its scent, it has a very marked honey aroma (as is natural, since it is the main ingredient of this mask). When removing it, you have to use plenty of water to make sure that there are no remains, but it is not a difficult product to rinse off.
It is a very durable product, since it hardly takes a little bit of product to apply it to the entire face, so you can use it a lot of times (of course, always complying with the expiration date and the PAO) until it is finished.
Regarding results, I have to admit that it fulfills wonderfully what it promises. As I mentioned before, I usually use this mask when I feel my skin is especially sensitive, and by using it I always manage to reduce that irritation and restore normality. If you have sensitive skin, this mask is a fantastic addition to your routines, you are going to wonder how it is possible that you have not started using it before.
As you can see, I am very happy with this mask and I am sure that I will buy it again once I finish it (although there is still some time until that happens). Without a doubt, this is one of my favorite masks.
HOW TO USE:
This mask can be used in your morning or night routines, as you wish. In general, I prefer to wear masks in the afternoon, but it is a personal choice. Before using it you should wash your face, then you just have to spread it well with a spatula and let it rest for about twenty minutes. Then, rinse it well with water and continue with the rest of your routine as you already know: toner, serum and moisturizer. Don’t forget to patch test any new product that you start adding to your skincare routines.
To me, the best way to apply this type of face masks is with a spatula like this one, since that way you’ll avoid directly touching the product with your hands and thus you’ll reduce the risk of contaminating it. Also, you’ll notice how this way it’s way easier to evenly distribute the product all over your skin.
You can get the I’m From Honey Mask on Wishtrend and on Yesstyle.
